The unfortunately reality is that folks screening CVs usually don't spend much time on them, anywhere from a few seconds to a minute in most situations. Given that, it's important to try and demonstrate relevance in the short period that your CV is being scanned. Fast Company recently posted an article about how to tailor your CV for your target role, which many applicants do not do because they don't know better or are just lazy. Don't let that be you because it is generally very easy to identify a generic CV that is being recycled regardless of role.
